The path to building

THE WORLD TO COME

We are living in a time of profound change. The world is changing at a rapid pace

and yesterday’s certainties are no longer always enough to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

In this context, celebrating 150 years is not just about looking back: it is about understanding the journey, acknowledging what we have learned, and deciding, together, how we want to move forward. That is why Fundación Ibercaja’s 150th anniversary is structured around a clear and shared conceptual framework: breaking down, rebuilding, and moving forward. Three verbs that speak not only of the past, but of the process necessary to build the world to come.
FRAGMENT
Reflecting on the journey so far

Breaking things down doesn’t mean breaking them apart. It means taking a step back to observe with perspective. It means understanding that every great story is made up of milestones, decisions, lessons learned, and people who, piece by piece, have built what we are today. Breaking things down means accepting the complexity of the world, acknowledging that not everything is linear, and recognizing that the future cannot be built without understanding its origins. In the context of our 150th anniversary, FRAGMENT symbolizes that first act of conscious reflection: looking back to recognize the value of every stage we’ve gone through, every contribution we’ve made, and every impact we’ve had over the past 150 years. Only when we understand what makes us who we are can we prepare for what lies ahead.
RECOMPOSE
Connect to create something new

The pieces that have shaped our history do not remain isolated. They seek each other out, come together, and begin to engage in dialogue. Reconstruction is the moment when the individual becomes part of the collective—where experiences, perspectives, and knowledge connect to create a shared meaning. It is the transition from fragmentation to collective building. At this point, the story comes to life: the pieces take on a new form, and a broader, richer, and more diverse vision emerges. Because the world to come is not imposed; it is rebuilt by all of us, through collaboration, dialogue, and the convergence of perspectives. RECOMPOSE means understanding that the future does not belong to a single voice, but to the collective ability to align purpose, talent, and commitment.
MOVE FORWARD
Envisioning the future with purpose

MOVE FORWARD means choosing a direction. It means turning reflection into momentum and a shared vision into action. After breaking things down and putting them back together, the time has come to move forward with clarity and purpose. Moving forward involves organizing, simplifying, and focusing: turning everything we’ve learned into a conscious step toward the future. On its 150th anniversary, moving forward symbolizes Fundación Ibercaja’s commitment to the years ahead: to continue fostering opportunities, making a real impact, and working alongside its ecosystem to build a more humane, fairer world that is better prepared for what lies ahead. Because moving forward isn’t about running aimlessly. It’s about walking together toward a shared horizon.

MOVE FORWARD

Envisioning the future with purpose

MOVING FORWARD means choosing a direction.
It means turning reflection into momentum and a shared vision into action. After breaking things down and putting them back together, the time has come to move forward with clarity and purpose. Moving forward involves organizing, simplifying, and focusing: turning everything we’ve learned into a conscious step toward the future.

THE WORLD TO COME

When the pieces come together, fall into place, and move in the same direction, a shared vision emerges. The world to come is not an abstract promise: it is an invitation to imagine and begin building today.

Celebrating 150 years means acknowledging who we have been, understanding who we are, and taking responsibility for who we want to be. An exercise in memory, present, and future that reminds us that great changes always begin with a shared decision.
